Of the scores of bashes being held across the city to welcome 2016 on Thursday night, December 31, here are some for which it might be worth enduring the crowds.

BARS

Asilo

Wear your vintage best to the rooftop bar, which will host a burlesque-themed soiree where guests can sip and snack on unlimited alcohol and appetisers.
Price: Rs 8,500 per head and Rs 15,000 per couple.

Blue Frog

DJs Denzyl and Gary will play a mix of house, hip hop and retro.
Price: The cover charge is Rs 4,000 per head and Rs7,000 per couple for standing room; and Rs 5,000 per head for a table.

Copa

The all-white New Year’s Eve celebrations at the Juhu bar will feature flair bartenders plus unlimited food and alcohol.

Hoppipola

The colour-filled bar chain will have a black and white theme for its New Year’s Eve party, which might be the most pocket-friendly celebration in the city.

Radio Bar

A Mardi Gras-like masquerade party and a cover charge that gets you unlimited starters, spirits and cocktails are among the selling points of the radio-themed bar’s bash.
Price: Rs 4,000 per head and Rs 6,500 per couple.

Sante

The Bandra bar will serve unlimited appetisers and alcohol including special cocktails such as the Dairy Milk martini, Liquid Tiramisu and Goan sangria at its party. The playlist will span retro, house and Bollywood.
Price: Rs 2,500 per head for single women and Rs 6,000 per couple. The cover charge for stags, who can only enter if accompanied by a couple, is Rs 4,000 per head.

St Regis

Li Bai and Exo, the bar and nightclub of the hotel, will serve unlimited premium alcohol. Guests can also choose to dine at either Mekong, the hotel’s South-East Asian restaurant or The Sahib Room, the Indian restaurant, which will serve prix fixe menus.
Price: Rs 8,500 per head, including alcohol and food at either restaurant.

The Daily Bar & Kitchen

Between 11 pm and 1 am, Jagerbombs will be sold at a discounted price of Rs 250 per shot during the Bandra bar’s bash. The cover charge will get you unlimited alcohol and appetisers.

The Irish House

An open bar, unlimited appetisers, and a round of champagne at midnight are on offer at the New Year’s Eve “hat parties” being held across the chain’s six outlets, to which you can carry your own chapeau or use one from the party kits they will hand out to revelers.

The Lalit

Electronic music star Nucleya aka Udyan Sagar will headline the Eleventh Hour, Andheri five-star The Lalit’s mansion-themed party, that will feature three stages. A seven-course meal, unlimited alcohol and kids’ zone are among the other incentives.
Price: Rs 4,200 per head and Rs 7,200 per couple for a gold ticket; Rs 6,300 per head and Rs 11,400 per couple for a platinum pass, which gets you premium alcohol and access to the poolside area.

Tilt All Day

Bungalow 9

Café Haqq Se

Kartavya, a Dehradun band that plays Sufi and Bollywood music, will perform. In addition to its regular menu of drinks and modern Indian food, the eatery will offer special mocktails such as The Mirchi Lychee, a mix of lychee juice and chilli, and The Chocolate Dalchini, a blend of chocolate, cinnamon and caramel.

Eddies

The Table

The restaurant will offer an alcohol package that includes unlimited sparkling wine, imported red and white wines and select cocktails. The food menu will have a few special surprise additions.
Price: The alcohol package is priced at Rs 3,000 per head. Diners opting for it must pay an advance of Rs 1,000 to confirm their reservation, either at the venue or via a bank transfer, the details for which they can get by calling the restaurant.

Yauatcha

The dim sum restaurant is bringing in the New Year with prix fixe food and alcohol menus.
