As the first vegan label to show at New York Fashion Week, the New York based brand Vaute Couture (Haute + V for Vegan) made a clear statement. We combine them with warm coats, beautiful dresses and comfortable pullovers”, designer Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart says about her label she launched back in 2018.These comfortable sweaters and the warm coats can therefore be worn by anyone without any guilty conscience during the cold season.

Animal-Free Winter Wardrobe: British Power

The British fashion label Shrimps is known for its signature fake fur. According to the founder Hannah Weiland, it has always been very important to her to entirely refrain from fur. She wants to show that one can feel cozy without harming any animal. Yet, her designs are not only cuddly, but also very fashionable and by now, they have become indispensable on the streets of the fashion metropolises around the world.

The most famous name in the sky of vegan fashion, however, is Weiland’s British colleague Stella McCartney. The luxury label has been synonymous with high fashion right from the start, which exists on the catwalks of the world without any animal materials. Since Stella McCartney was raised vegan by her famous parents Paul and Linda McCartney as well, her love for animals has influenced her fashionable and personal journey ever since.
