The heart of a good teacher can be seen not only in the results of an examination or in a well-written essay, but also in those who want to impress us. Our work is not limited to teaching them scientific concepts, primary colors, verbal conjugations, or how to throw a zapato; we also have the responsibility of creating a new generation that seeks to improve the world through their talents, ideas, and abilities, which they can share with everyone. Being aware is simultaneously an enormous responsibility and an extraordinary pleasure. The Week of Thanksgiving is a chance to come together and celebrate the educational system as a whole. More than the teachers, it is about the importance of teaching and the collective effort in the name of a good cause. Teachers in the United States and schools with the privilege of teaching strengthen communities by supporting students, cultivating classrooms, and fostering our nation’s future.
