PHOTOGRAPHY Conversation Chambers: Museum Bhavan at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art
This exhibition is a collection of photographer Dayanita Singh’s images, which are arranged thematically as nine “mobile museums” with titles such as File Museum, Museum of Furniture and Little Ladies.

During this week-long event, tipplers will be able to drink a selection of cocktails from over 100 bars and restaurants across the city at discounted rates. The participating bars, which have been classified into standard and premium venues, include Cocktails and Dreams Speakeasy in Gurgaon, Monkey Bar at Connaught Place, Bohemia at Greater Kailash I and Guppy by Ai in Lodhi Colony. There will also be pub crawls, tasting sessions, and masterclasses by celebrated bartenders such as Ulysses Vidal from New York’s Employees Only and Hannah Van Ongevalle from The Pharmacy in Belgium. FILM TALKS Sequences: Narratives of Animation at Instituto Cervantes
The history of animation in India will be explored in panel discussions, exhibitions and film screenings at this three-day event organised by the Lightcube Film Society. FILM TALKS I Am Not Here at India International Centre
Ashvin Kumar’s documentary I Am Not Here, which examines migration among domestic workers through the lives of three women, will be shown. After the screening, Kumar will be in conversation with Christina MacGillivray, co-producer and lead researcher of the film; Pia Oberoi, advisor on migration and human rights at the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees; the International Labour Organisation’s Igor Bosc and Supreme Court advocate Karuna Nundy. THEATRE Saksham Theatre Festival at Akshara Theatre
Director Sunil Rawat’s Hindi play Miya Biwi aur Manto, based on four stories by Sadat Hasan Manto on marriage, will be staged on Saturday, December 19. Rawat’s Khamosh! Adalat Jari Hai, a Hindi version of Vijay Tendulkar’s Marathi drama Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe, will be staged on Sunday, December 20. In the play, a mock trial over the issue of infanticide conducted by rehearsing actors becomes serious when they find that one of them is pregnant with an illegitimate child. PHOTOGRAPHY Origins: A Photographic Tale of Relations Between the UK and India at the British Council

This exhibition is the culmination of PhotoUK-India, a collaboration between the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts and the British Council to promote the work of photographers from both countries. The images, which also form part of a publication called Origins, bring together narrative-based photographs “about family formations, histories, travel, metropolitanism, journalism”.
