Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, entered into a collaboration with the US consulate in Kolkata on Friday for development programmes in different fields. The school management agreed to work on a 10-fold agreement with US consulate general to gain educational and cultural exchange.

Delhi Public School (DPS), Ranchi, entered into a collaboration with the US consulate in Kolkata on Friday, July 8, for development programmes in different fields. The school management agreed to work on a 10-fold agreement with US consulate general to gain educational and cultural exchange.
Collaborative moves to be taken:
- Both the US consulate and the school will join their hands to raise awareness for problems like human trafficking in Jharkhand and other social issues
- The school management in an official statement said that it would send teachers from Ranchi for short-term academic workshops with the students in the USA, while US teachers will also come here for the same
- Craig L Hall, the US consulate general inaugurated a centre for overseas opportunities on Friday, which will also involve participation of other schools from Ranchi and Jharkhand, as reported by TOI
Why such a collaboration?
The main aim of cross-cultural and an academic exchange was to give an experience before hand about the opportunities available in the US universities, said, principal of DPS, Ram Singh.
