He said this while unveiling Huawei smartphone sub-brand Honor’s new mobiles 7A and 7C in New Delhi yesterday.
“Our recent launch, the Honor 9 Lite registered one million sales in just three months showing our growth pace. Our next target is to be among the top three manufacturers of India in the next five years,” he added.
Officials from Honor said, the 7A and 7C are their most affordable dual lens camera devices. The devices come with features like 13+2MP dual lens camera, face unlock, EMUI 8.0. The phones come with fast fingerprint sensor. They added that the devices provide 18:9 full display on a 3,000 mAh battery with best-in-class hardware and software. The front camera is a 8 MP unit, and the phone gets 5.7-inch screen with 75.4 per cent screen-to-body ratio and 16M colours.
Huawei India vice president – sales, P Sanjeev, said, “Honor is committed to scale new heights of product innovation and customer centricity through its products. With the launch of Honor 7A and 7C, we are offering market-leading specifications by pushing boundaries of smartphone design with advanced technology and focusing on the needs of larger set of consumers. Explaining the features of the new phone, Huawei India director – GTM Sumit Arora, said, “Both phones will be available in black, blue and gold color. They come with standard 12 months service warranty along with Honor’s after sale facilities.”
He added that the phone is packed with ‘uninterrupted gaming mode’ for gamers. The company claims that the mobiles get 14nm octa-core chipset and a EMUI 8.0 system that features custom modes to ensure enhanced user experience.
Huawei, last year, surpassed Apple’s global smartphone sales for the first time in June and July 2017 according to analysis by Counterpoint Research.
Huawei sub brand Honor’ growth of 146 per cent became a reality in April this year thereby becoming the fastest growing smartphone brand followed by Xiaomi (134 per cent) and OnePlus (112 per cent) in Q1 2018.
Of late, Huawei’s Honor has been very active in India. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer launched smartphones such as honor 9i, Honor 7x and Honor 9 Lite across segments in a quick succession. The company also started manufacturing the Honor 7x in India in partnership with Flex at its plant in Sriperumbudur. In 2017 Huawei’s revenue reach US$ 92.549 billion while net income stood at US$ 7.276 billion. It has assets worth US$ 77.462 billion as of now.

Honor 7A will be available in Flipkart starting from 29 May at Rs 8,999 (3+32GB). Honor 7C on the other hand will be available in Amazon at Rs 9,999 (3+32GB), Rs 11,999 (4+64GB) from 31 May onwards. Both devices will also be available at HiHonor.in.
