Facebook users can pick between the blue lightsabers used by the Jedi, or the Sith’s red lightsabres
The news comes after Google let Star Wars fans customise its Maps, Gmail, Chrome web browser, and Android mobile operating system with images from either the light or dark side of the Force. Oh, and they added this nifty search Easter Egg, too.
The Facebook tool went live on the hugely popular social network this week.
Facebook is catering to both Jedi and Sith, allowing social network users to pick between a blue or red lightsaber.
And better still – the red lightsaber is the infamous three-pronged weapon used by Kylo Ren in the trailers last year.
• Follow this link, close the photo viewer and tap the Try It button at the bottom of the movie poster.
• On the right hand side of the screen you’ll see two options which will change the lightsaber from red to blue.
• It’s also worth setting the amount of time you want your profile pic to keep the Star Wars theme.
The social network added the French flag to pictures after the shocking terror attacks in Paris.
