NEW DELHI: IT shares were trading with losses in Monday’s morning session.
Shares of Tech Mahindra (down 2.32 per cent), Tata ElxsiNSE -0.03 % (down 1.08 per cent), Hexaware TechnologiesNSE -2.83 % (down 0.97 per cent) and Just Dial (down 0.69 per cent) were trading lower.
NIIT Technologies (down 0.40 per cent), MindTree (down 0.34 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services (down 0.28 per cent) and Wipro (down 0.21 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty IT index was trading 0.45 per cent down at 14930.85 around 09:59 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 37.20 points at 12093.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 160.49 points at 40954.3 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 21 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Airtel, ZEEL, IDFC First Bank, Bharti Infratel, GMR Infra, Tata Motors and RIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
