YU Televentures Launches Yutopia at Rs 24,995

Yunique: Good things come in small packages
YU Televentures, on Thursday, announced the launch of its first flagship smartphone, Yutopia, and foray into software services with the launch of Around Yu, a platform to provide suite services to users.
Yutopia has a 5.2-inch wide-quad high definition in-plane switching display from Sharp, Snapdragon 810 processor, 21 megapixel rear camera, 4GB RAM, fingerprint scanner, Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 and Cyanogen OS 12.1.
The company said the phone would also be the first to be integrated with a host of services to help the users organise most aspects of their daily life. Around Yu, the company said, would help an average consumer reduce 15 seconds for pulling out the first level of information and those 12-14 taps to get to the information.
Yu, partly owned by Micromax, had launched four mobiles. This is the fifth one, which the company feels is a brilliant performer amongst high-end smartphones.
Rahul Sharma, co-founder, said, “We commenced our exciting journey at YU a year ago with a promise of making technology more simplistic and the smartphones an enabler of our daily tasks. We are extremely euphoric to complete our first year with a bang as today’s (Thursday’s) launch reaffirms our promise of doing everything that’s exciting and new. Yutopia is a revolutionary product that is packed with the compellingAround Yu services, making the smartphone literally five years ahead of any other device.”
The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner, which can be used for taking selfies, for security and convenience. Additionally, the Yutopia features an alert slider for quick access to custom notification settings. The company claims their experts have hand-picked the best features — be it display, processor, camera, design or operating system — for the mobile with a reasonable price.
Around Yu would help user go through services like food ordering, cab-hailing, travelling, booking hotels which would do away with the task of downloading apps, the company said. The handset is tagged with a price of Rs 24,995 and will be available at Amazon.com.
